This Privacy Policy explains how Alfred ("Alfred", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Alfred coaching app. Alfred is operated by Ben Alexander, based in Canberra, Australia. If you have any questions, email ben@alfredapp.com.au.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name and email address, provided when you sign up with email and password or through Google sign-in.
• Onboarding information. The details you share to set up your coach, such as your goals, training background, injuries or health notes, the tracker you use, your communication preference, and, only if you choose to enable it, menstrual cycle information.
• Conversations. The messages you exchange with your coach, and any screenshots or images you choose to upload (for example sleep, training, or food data).
• Usage information. Basic technical and usage data needed to run the service, such as log data and timestamps.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalise your coaching experience.
• Generate responses to your messages.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the service.
• Respond to your questions and provide support.

We do not sell your personal information.

Health and sensitive information

Alfred is a wellbeing and coaching tool. Some of the information you share, such as sleep, training, injuries, or cycle data, may be health related. You provide this voluntarily so the coach can give you more relevant guidance. You can choose not to share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

How your information is shared

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Alfred:

• Hosting and database. We use Supabase to store your account and coaching data.
• AI processing. We use Anthropic to process your messages and generate coaching responses.

These providers process data on our behalf and may store or process it outside Australia. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing ben@alfredapp.com.au.

Your choices and rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for optional data, by emailing ben@alfredapp.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies and local storage

Alfred uses essential cookies and local storage only, to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences such as your theme. We do not use advertising or third party tracking cookies.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Alfred is not intended for anyone under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
